#EPIC FAIL

I hear that celebrity Twitter death thing, isn't going so well #EPIC FAIL. I also hear that agents and publicists are bombarding the administrative offices of Buy Life to simply raise the 'coffin' graphic to reflect the $1 million so their respective celebs can get back to Tweeting. See? The American people aren't so dumb. Those with a little disposable income are spending it on Christmas gifts at the moment... and budgeting for their unemployment benefits to run out at the end of this month. Since they may have to pull the plug on their electronics, they're less concerned about what Kim Kardashian is thinking. The buzz on Twitter is that more people want to keep her off the site, than to pay to allow her to come back on. How embarrassing is that?

I understand supporting World AIDS is a phenomenal cause worth fighting, but we've bigger problems at home right now. And depending on your popularity to get people to go along with something you think is important, is a rather large, flawed and egotistical risk. The younger generation has a lot more of their own bandwagons these days; they're not going to jump on yours unless they get something in return (not always). This is the entitlement generation. And you can't use the same logic on entitlement fans because they'll use it right back. Wake up celebs, you helped create them.

On the same day you chose to launch your 'my digital life for $10' ransom campaign, millions of American lost their unemployment benefits. The news coming out of Washington yesterday, was that Congress wasn't going to extend the deadline for tax cuts to the wealthy -- they've since decided they will. So great. YOU all get to keep MORE of your millions, while millions MORE run out of food for their families. And you want them to give you $10 to hear you talk? Who the hell do you think you are?
