Blech! Those don't go together.

I appreciate that food companies must make their products stand out. They want to entice us with the newest taste sensations and these days, the healthier the sensation, the better. I get it.

BUT,

Not every flavor goes with every other flavor. Seriously. This morning I picked up a small bottle of coconut, pomegranate and acai berry something.

It tastes like an eraser.

I'm serious! I remember chewing on the end of my pencil, when I was a bored fourth grader. It wasn't good then, but it held me until lunch.

I'm older now, and I can eat whenever I want and what I want. I'm grown ass woman, and I'm not willing to settle for anything nasty just to "tide me over." I was going to save the juice for my daugther to try when she gets home from school, but I need her respect. I want her to try new good foods; not something that tastes like you found it at the bottom of your backpack.

So to the food manufacturers and tastes testers of the world, please remember that just because two or three ingredients taste great by themselves, it doesn't mean they will taste great together. Please no hummus, goat cheese and acai berry juice. I'm too afraid my curiosity may get the better of me, and it will end up in my cart.
